隠崎隆一

現代の備前焼を代表する陶芸家。岡山県重要無形文化財保持者。
１９５０年、長崎県の五島列島出身。
大阪芸術大学でグラフィックデザインを学び、卒業後はデザイン会社勤務を経て、人間国宝の伊勢﨑淳に師事し、独立後は岡山県瀬戸内市長船に窯を築く。土の特性を見極め、徹底して焼成にこだわる隠﨑隆一氏の既存の枠にとらわれない造形感覚を活かした独創的で新たな表現方法でデザイン性の高い造形作品は、備前焼のみならず現代陶芸に多大な影響を与え続けている。

Kakurezaki Ryuichi

A ceramist who represents modern Bizen ware. Holder of an important intangible cultural property in Okayama Prefecture.
Born in the Goto archipelago in Nagasaki prefecture in 1950.
He studied graphic design at Osaka University of Arts, and after graduating, worked for a design company and studied under Jun Isesaki, a living national treasure. After independence, he built a kiln in Osafune, Setouchi City, Okayama Prefecture. Mr. Ryuichi Hiddenzaki, who carefully identifies the characteristics of the soil and sticks to firing thoroughly, makes use of the original and new expression method that makes use of the modeling sense that is not bound by the existing frame.
